TARDIGRADE INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION
Tardio is a charity organisation (UK Registered Charity 1189249) striving to eradicate one of the causes of a poorly structured society which is lack of Education. One of the most basic requirements for the sound development of a child alongside food, healthcare and shelter is Education. The emergence of Tardio was spurred by the increasing number of children missing out in attaining Basic Education especially in Africa. Some of these children stay at home, hawk food items, fruit items, and other commodities on the streets in order to tend to their basic educational needs for example, to buy exercise books, text books, pairs of socks and other school and learning materials. Tardigrade International provides the required assistance for the attainment of a child’s basic education.
What We Do
While we can look away, we have chosen to fight one of the world’s deterrent factor to success in our society. There are billions of children on the streets of the world missing out on Basic Education most especially, in Africa. While some carry out commercial activities on the streets to enable them purchase school materials, some play around aimlessly without hope nor the appropriate assistance. However, Tardio is also burdened by the condition of the environment in which most of these children learn.
Therefore, Tardio has emerged as a charitable organisation to provide the following to underprivileged children from Nursery to Primary (year) 6;
- School materials such as text books, school bags, pairs of socks, shoes, school uniforms, writing materials as well as learning materials.
- Financial support needed to keep them in school
- Free breakfast for them in school and promote free school meals initiation worldwide.
- Work in partnership with the appropriate trade to renovate and recondition the pupils’ learning environments.
- Make computers available to enhance computer literacy.

Our Goal
Basic Education is the base, the foundation for framing a child’s adulthood. It is one of the most important component in the sphere of breaking the cycle of illiteracy and poverty which transcends to having a poorly structured society. Hence, our ultimate goal is to help underprivileged children remain in school to attain Basic Education at least, within a conducive atmosphere.
Tardio’s long term objective is to work with already established schools where every underprivileged child can obtain basic education for free.
Tardio will also work with prospective partners to establish children’s libraries with a section for digital and non-digital educational materials and various educative toys and games (every learning material that can enable quality learning/education).
